Do not make you do all the lessons in one sitting, after 15-20 minutes of classes you need 10-15 minute breaks, it is better if they are moving.
During the preparation of lessons do not sit “over the soul”, allow the child to work alone, but if it needs your help, be patient. A calm tone, support (“don’t worry, everything will work out”, “let’s figure it out together”, “I will help”), praise (even if not everything works out) – are necessary.
When communicating with your child, try to avoid conditions: “if you do, then…”, sometimes conditions become impossible regardless of the child, and you may find yourself in a very difficult situation.
Find at least half an hour during the day when you will belong only to your child, not being distracted by home cares, TV, communication with other family members. During this time, his business, worries, joys and failures are most important.
Develop a unified tactic of communication between adults in the family with the child, their disagreements about pedagogical tactics, decide without the child. Very timely would be a story before bedtime, a song, gentle stroking – it calms, reduces stress. No sorting out of relations, reminders of troubles before going to sleep, reminders about tomorrow’s test, etc.
Believe in your child! Be glad of his successes, do not make a tragedy of the failures. Instill in him the confidence that he is “able to do everything, everything can be done”, if he really wants to.
